The UK Cinema Association (UKCA) has announced plans for its 2020 annual conference, to be held on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 March at Picturehouse Central, London.
While the UK cinema sector continues to thrive, there is always more that can be done to reach out to new audiences, and to encourage current cinema-goers to see a broader range of films on the big screen.
This conference, the latest in a series of annual UKCA events which have become key dates in the industry calendar, will explore a range of aspects of audience development under the banner ‘Audiences – growing the big screen experience’. Across two days, a diverse and engaging agenda will include sessions considering strategies to engage particular audience segments as well as others considering more general audience development opportunities.
The event is expected to attract almost 400 professionals from across the cinema industry, including a wide range of UKCA members as well as colleagues from film distribution and those working across the wider media, retail and technology sectors.
