The ECA Slate Day will return on Wednesday 9 June and will be free to all to join.
With a bumper day of slate presentations from a range of content providers showcasing new event cinema content plus a series of topical panel discussions and data insights, it certainly one to add to your calendars.
Comscore will give a presentation on the global box office performance of event cinema during 2020 and Movio will show how event cinema content in the UK helped to drive attendance and bring in new audiences to the cinema post-pandemic.
The ECA have been supporting the Cinema Technology Community, who have funded and created a range of test material for the cinemas to use to help improve the presentation and quality of live events. This is an entirely new initiative and learning programme to deliver to the industry.
Panel discussions will delve the success of, and subsequent opportunities for, music events in cinemas and the evolution of streaming for event cinema content. Over the pandemic we saw many content providers like Royal Opera House and National Theatre Live shift to PVOD and VOD platforms to get audiences to engage with their content, the panel will look to discuss the opportunities and challenges this presents for event cinema content.
Registration will open in the coming eeks. For more information or to showcase content please email Grainne at email@example.com
A recording of the event will be available to members to view post event.
